Reliable’s journey with Robus started with a dry lamination machine in 2017.

“We had finalised a dry lamination machine. Then Prem Prakash Vishwakarma of Robus India visited our facility and elaborate us about today’s requirement in film lamination machine and its services. His approach was totally different from the other suppliers. We liked it and placed the order,” Vinish Nair, founder, Reliable Packaging.

He added, “We are satisfied with the machine. We are so happy with the handholding, guidance, and after-sales service that we decided to go with Robus for all our post-press equipment needs.”

Today, the company has five machines from Robus India. An automatic film lamination machine FMB 1200; an automatic die-cutting machine, MHC-1060AR and an automatic folder-gluer performance series, FG 850PC have been installed and are running well.

The company has also installed automatic blanking and hot foil stamping machines from Robus.

“After-sales service is one of the most important aspects to consider when you invest in capital equipment and in our partnership in the last six years, we have always received quick after-sales service support, either on the same day or the next day,” Nair added.

Vinish is a trained graphic designer and initiated the business in 2000. In 2003, Vijesh Nair has joined the business and later Vibheesh Nair joined the business. Now, Reliable is run by the Nair brothers.

Till 2009, Reliable used to work for regional music industries, especially from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Orissa and others, especially where folk music was in demand.

Vibheesh Nair, the youngest among the brothers, said, “We used to print CD covers and posters. At that time, we were fully dedicated in this segment. Unfortunately, times changed and the CD segment vanished. We had to shift our focus from CD to packaging, especially to UV printing. In 2014, we installed a Heidelberg SM 72 six-colour with coater printing press. In 2017, we installed another Heidelberg UV press and Thermostar T9 CTP. In 2021, we have installed AOK sample-maker from RSG Solutions.”

Today, the 100% UV-dedicated printing company is capable of printing on almost any substrate. “We are using our UV and LED UV lamps developed in-house, which are equipped with fast UV curing,” Nair said.

Vinish is responsible for production and admin; Vijesh is responsible for accounts and finance and Vibheesh is responsible for new product development and technological advancement. He is the one who developed the UV/LED lamps. He is developing a different type of face mask and manufactures perfumes in-house for personal consumption.

A team of 45 people works in multiple factories and converts more than 5 tonnes of substrates per day.
